Round frame
The widest sweet spot of the three shapes, with the balance closest to the hand — the shape that forgives a contact away from the middle.
3K carbon frame
3K carbon: a coarser weave than 12K, and the softer of the two.
Grip and overgrip
A racket arrives with its own grip. Most players wrap an overgrip over it and replace that as it goes slick, which costs a few euro rather than the price of a regrip.
Shape decides forgiveness
Round frames carry the weight nearest the hand and have the widest sweet spot. Diamond frames carry it highest, which adds pace at the cost of forgiving a contact away from the middle. Teardrop sits between the two.
A protector is cheaper than a frame
